IDO is committed to nurturing the recreational, social and emotional well-being of the youth and seniors in St. Charles Parish and surrounding communities through quality programs for all. We will accomplish this in a safe and enjoyable environment led by positive role models who provide and adapt programs and activities based on the needs of the community.

Our mission is "to provide a place where young people can build lasting, positive changes in their lives." We accomplish this mission by seeking resources, collaborations and opportunities that help young people to realize their full potential, sharpen skills and enable them to become vital, responsible and contributing members of society.

For seniors, we intend "to provide life enhancing, enriching, and sustaining services that have a positive impact on older adults' physical, mental, and social well-being."

IDO has spent seven years making a difference in the lives of youth in Jefferson Parish, and now, we desire to further our work in St. Charles Parish.  We are dedicated to changing lives and we intend to sustain our new programs for generations to come.
